Financial Planning

Financial planning is very important when it comes to playing intercollegiate athletics.  Each college or university is limited as to the total number of scholarships they can offer for each sport.  There are essentially 5 different levels or divisions of intercollegiate athletics.  Each of these vary in how many scholarships their institutions can offer, if at all.  The coaches are then responsible for dividing up the scholarships among their players.  Because there are not enough scholarship to field a full squad, many college golfers attend on only a partial scholarship. Below is a breakdown of scholarships offered by division as well as the number of schools fielding teams in each division.
